1.21.15 The Receiver for OMG Tech Help and related entities will be distributing W2s for 2014.  Any OMG Tech Help employee who has a new address should contact the Receiver by Monday Jan. 26, 2015 with that information.

1.21.15  We are happy to report that, based on the Receiver’s Expedited Motion for Authorization to Pay Health Insurance Premiums, health insurance coverage for eligible Vast/OMG Tech Help employees will be paid and continue through January 31, 2015. A copy of the Court’s Order Granting the Receiver’s Motion is available on the Court Documents page.

12.9.14  Message about Antivirus and Privacy Shield Products: The Receiver has learned that the anti-virus and privacy shield software packages that OMGTechHelp sold to consumers were products that OMGTechHelp obtained from other companies.  The Receiver cannot provide any guarantee or assurance regarding the functioning or reliability of these products -- they may or may not be operating as consumers expect and the relevant updates may or may not work.  However, please be advised that regardless of functionality, no future renewals will be available from OMGTechHelp.  Of course, customers are always free to uninstall the software at issue and purchase a replacement from another vendor if they so choose.

12.8.14  We are happy to report that, based on the Receiver’s Expedited Motion for Authorization to Pay Health Insurance Premiums, health insurance coverage for eligible Vast/OMG Tech Help employees will be paid and continue through December 31, 2014. A copy of the Court’s Order Granting the Receiver’s Motion is available on the Court Documents page.

12.3.14   The Court, with the consent of all parties, postponed the hearing on the FTC’s motion for preliminary injunction from November 24, 2014 to sometime after January 5, 2015.  The purpose of the hearing is to determine whether the temporary restraining order should be dissolved or converted to a preliminary injunction. After the Court rules on the FTC’s motion for preliminary injunction, the Receiver will be in a position to provide additional information about the case.

12.3.14  Attention users of the OMG Backup service: the service will be discontinued on midnight (Eastern) December 18, 2014. If you have an account, you were e-mailed instructions on downloading and removing your files. Click here for instructions.
